Ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has taken issue with MTV after Levine called out the network for not caring about music.
With the MTV VMAs set to air on Sunday, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 had harsh words for MTV as a “so called” music network that doesn’t care about the very industry it came from in the 80s. On Saturday, Adam Levine fired off a tweet that called out MTV as a so called music entity. “The VMA’s. One day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music,” tweeted Levine. “I’m drawing a line in the sand. f— you VMA’s.”
In a follow up tweet, Adam Levine explained his rant but offered no apology. “I may be a pop singer,” added Levine, “but every once in a while the angsty teenager in me just blurts out some raw honesty. It’s a reflex.”
Kudos to Adam Levine for telling it like it is!
