Although Selena Gomez wasn’t nominated for an MTV Video Music Award, Selena has landed the job of host for the MTV VMA pre-show on the black carpet on August 28.
According to MTV, Selena Gomez will co-host the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on the black carpet with MTV correspondents Sway Calloway, Jim Cantiello and James Montgomery. In a recent statement, Selena Gomez shared her thoughts on hosting the VMA pre-show. “I am very excited to be a part of the 2011 VMAs,” said Gomez. “After all of my years watching the VMAs, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts. It is a true honor to be hosting from the black carpet this year.”
Selena Gomez will be seen on the MTV VMA black carpet outside of the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on August 28 at 8 PM EST on MTV. In addition to host Selena Gomez, the VMA pre-show will also feature a preview of Jersey Shore and a performance of “You Make Me Feel” by Cobra Starship.
