Urban Outfitters Sued Over Teen T-Shirt Photo

Clothing company Urban Outfitters has been sued by the parents of a 15 year-old model after photos of their daughter were used on t-shirts and without permission for new the Urban Outfitter tees.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Urban Outfitters has been hit with a lawsuit brought on by the parents of a 15 year-old model after photos of the girl were used on Urban Outfitters t-shirts without consent. The Urban Outfitters T-shirts in question show the underage teen in a sexually suggestive pose on a motorcycle. The parents and the teen filed the $28 million lawsuit against Urban Outfitters and photographer Jason Lee Parry in Manhattan Federal Court, claiming that the photos were taken for a shoot last year and were used without permission.

Listed in the lawsuit, the parents and girl claim that the T-shirt photo shows the 15 year-old model “posed in a blatantly salacious manner with her legs spread, without a bra, revealing portions of her breasts.” The lawsuit listing also claims that the girl is featured in such illegal activities as drinking beer and riding a motorcycle without a helmet.
