Jim Parsons to Star in Harvey on Broadway

Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons will star in the Broadway revival of Harvey in the role of Elwood P. Dowd.

According to Broadway.com, actor Jim Parsons will star as Elwood P. Dowd in the Broadway revival of Harvey, which will begin performances at Studio 54 on May 18 before officially opening on June 14.

Parsons will be joined by Jessica Hecht as Veta Louise Simmons and Charles Kimbrough as William R. Chumley. Harvey, made famous on screen by the legendary Jimmy Stewart, is the story of Elwood P. Dowd, who spots a six foot rabbit named Harvey that on one else can see and causes Dowd’s sister Veta to be committed to a sanatorium.

Jim Parsons made his Broadway debut in 2011 revival Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart.
