Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows took the top spot at the weekend box office in the U.K. after overseas fans flocked to the sequel.
According to BBC, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was the most popular film in the U.K. over the weekend after the new Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law film pulled in £3.8 million in ticket sales.
Rounding out the top three at the U.K. box office behind the new Sherlock Holmes movies were Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked at £2.4 million and Arthur Christmas at £1.3 million.
