Harry Connick Jr. has landed a multi-episode guest role on Law & Order: SVU after it was revealed on Friday that Connick Jr. will play an Assistant District Attorney.
At the NBC TCA event in Los Angeles on Friday, it was confirmed that singer and actor Harry Connick Jr. will step into Law & Order: SVU on January 18 to play Executive ADA David Haden, a dedicated, straight-shooting prosecutor who is assigned a case with Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay). The multi-episode guest role on SVU has Harry Connick Jr. as Haden working well with Hargitay’s Benson character. As their case develops, however, so does their relationship.
“This is a home run on so many levels,” said Hargitay about the Law & Order: SVU casting of Harry Connick Jr.. “The show is very fortunate to have Harry’s extraordinary talent, and I’m lucky because I get to work with my friend. I think Olivia couldn’t have asked for a better companion to take her through a new stage in her life and career.”
