Psych Gets Seventh Season on USA

Psych has been renewed for a seventh season after USA Network confirmed that the popular investigative comedy would return.

Starring James Roday and Dulé Hill, Psych will return to USA Network for a seventh season to continue the investigative adventures of Shawn Spencer (Roday) and Gus Guster (Hill). As the official USA release revealed this week, both Roday and Hill broke the news to fans on Facebook.

“Psych is officially coming back for a seventh season,” confirmed James Roday, “which is very cool.” Dule Hill, who plays Shawn’s best friend Gus, followed with a shout out to fans thanking them for their support for the show.

USA Network Co-Presidents, Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel added that it was important for the show to announce the news in a social manner that would appeal to fans.

“We are always trying to find ways to reward our Psych brand ambassadors for their loyalty and passion,” stated said McCumber and Wachtel, “and social media plays a critical role in how we connect with the people who matter most, the fans. It was exciting to deliver this historical news to them first and before traditional media.”
