Neil Patrick Harris Lands on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Neil Patrick HarrisNeil Patrick Harris received his first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday when the Harris star was placed in the walk near the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The star ceremony for Neil Patrick Harris was held in celebration of the upcoming DVD release of How I Met Your Mother Season 6: The New is Always Better Edition on September 27.

Although the star of Neil Patrick Harris began to burn with the role of Doogie Howser, Harris, a veteran of the Broadway stage, can currently be seen as the womanizing Barney Stinson on the hit CBS comedy series, How I Met Your Mother. For his role as Barney Stinson, Neil Patrick Harris earned four Emmy Award nominations, two Golden Globe nominations, a People’s Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy Actor, and a Critics’ Choice Award for Supporting Actor in a Comedy.

In 2010, Neil won his first two Emmy Awards for his guest-starring role on Glee and as host of the 63rd Annual Tony Awards. In addition to hosting the 2009 Tony Awards, Harris also served as host and producer of the 61stAnnual Primetime Emmys. Named one of the 2008 Entertainers of the Year by Entertainment Weekly, Neil Patrick Harris was included in Time Magazine’s 2010 Time 100 List, an annual list of the world’s leading thinkers, leaders, artists, and heroes.
