Twilight Saga actress Kristen Stewart has been cast in a new action movie called Cali in the role of a young San Fernando Valley girl with dangerous behavior.
Although Kristen Stewart will soon be seen in Snow White and the Huntsman, Stewart has been cast in the gritty indie action film called Cali. As Variety reveals, Kristen Stewart will play Mya, a young woman from the San Fernando Valley who disappears after making a money from a fake snuff film her lover, Chris. After leaving her younger sister behind, Mya is forced to return to Cali to confront a slew of dangers, including the heated relationship with her sibling, spurned business partners, “homicidal porn stars, stoner vet techs, an unstoppable killing machine in a cowboy hat,” as Variety reports.
Cali, written by 30 Minutes or Less scribe Michael Diliberti, will be produced by Voltage Productions (The Hurt Locker) and New School Media, with Diliberti and Kristen Stewart serving as producers on the project among others.
Cali is currently without a director and has a tentative production start date in the summer of 2012.
Kristen Stewart will been seen in Snow White and the Huntsman in June 2012 before The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in November.
