American Idol winner Phillip Phillips is on the mend, recovering and doing well after recently undergoing extensive surgery to remove kidney stones.
As a result of his progress following surgery, Phillip Phillips will be able to take part in the American Idols Live tour which gets underway July 6 in Detroit, according to ABC News.
As fans of American Idol know, Phillip Phillips suffered from major kidney pain during his run on Idol before winning the title last month. During the season, Phillips was looked over in hospital and treated in order to continue performing.
On Wednesday, Phillip Phillips was on hand for a press preview of the American Idols Live tour where the singer revealed that he was doing better than expected, making progress, and will be back to singing despite not being fully at capacity.
Phillips also indicated that he’s trying to fit in time to rehearse as he gets better
