Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson will guest star in the second season premiere of Smash after NBC announced the musical Hudson news this past week.
Former DreamGirls actress Jennifer Hudson will debut a multi-episode guest arc in the second season premiere of Smash and play Tony award winning Broadway character, Veronica Moore, who has a significant effect on Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivyn (Megan Hilty) as the two versions of Marilyn Monroe.
In a statement about the Smash casting of Jennifer Hudson, Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, shared his excitement.
“We’re thrilled to have Jennifer Hudson coming to Smash,” said Greenblatt. “This series is a showcase for some of the best musical talent in the business and that’s a fitting description for Jennifer Hudson.”
