Love in the Wild Finale Odds with Yanina Beccaria

This week on Love in the Wild, the final two couples were chosen after Yanina Beccaria and Ken Barrington finshed the latest leg in first place.

Although the latest adventure on Love in the Wild began with three couples, the final two were determined when Ken and Yanina crossed the finish line in first place and later chose to send home Summer Mack and Aaron Chase in favor of keeping Ben Clark and Michelle Sacco.

Interestingly, as the second season of Love in the Wild comes to a close, Ken and Yanina were the only remaining couple to stay together for the entire competition. In many ways, it looked as though Ken and Yanina had the perfect relationship as compared to the other Love in the Wild couples who bounced from partner to partner in order to find a connection.

So, with the season finale about to air, how does Yanina feel about why she and Ken worked so well together as a couple? As Yanina told The Deadbolt, all of the right ingredients came together at the perfect time for a romantic recipe.

“It just started from the beginning. It was like a hit or miss, I would say. It’s never been that easy for me, and I don’t think it’s easy for anybody, but we just had that click. It just worked from the beginning. I think the chances are very low of finding that. I think I just got lucky. I stumbled upon happiness all of a sudden.”

One of the season’s front-running couples, Ken and Yanina had a tough decision to make when thinking about who they’d rather race with in the finale. For Ken, it was a chance to race against the best of the best with the thought of choosing Summer and Chase. For Yanina, as we saw last week, it was about playing the better odds against Ben and Michelle to win a trip around the world.

To race against Summer and Chase in the finale of Love in the Wild, it would have been a big gamble for Ken and Yanina. After all, Summer and Chase were, as Ben claimed a week earlier, in the competition to win.

Since Ken originally told Yanina that he wanted to go up against Summer and Chase, how did they eventually decide on Ben and Michelle?

“It was very clear. I was actually very scared to compete against [Summer and Chase]. They’re very close friends of ours. I thought we had better chances with Ben and Michelle. When they first said that, it was easy. I’ll pick a weaker competitor to compete against. My goal of being there, first it was to find someone. Second, it was to win a prize with that person. At this point, I’m halfway there.”

At this week’s Couples Choice ceremony, it was obvious that Yanina had a hard time saying goodbye to Summer and Chase. Although Ken wanted to race against who he felt was the best, he eventually came down on Yanina’s side.

When it came time for Summer and Chase to leave the game, Yanina shed a few tears upon their exit.

So, how does Yanina feel now about Summer and Chase and where things stand in Love in the Wild?

“We have a friendship with Summer and Chase. But at the end of the day, I didn’t go there to make friends. That’s a plus. I went there to find someone and win a prize. The name of the show is Love in the Wild, so we wanted to compete with another couple that had close to what we had. I can understand why people were saying we picked a weaker competitor, but I don’t think they’re that weak. Ben and Michelle have been at the Oasis almost like us. Everybody has a chance to be there. So they already know what it feels like and they were ahead of us at some point. So my first reason was competition.”

Love in the Wild airs Tuesdays at 10/9c.
