Actress Meta Golding has been cast in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in the role of Enobaria, a former career tribute from District 2.
On Tuesday, Lionsgate announced that Meta Golding was cast in the role of Enobaria in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the sequel to the highly popular Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence. As the Catching Fire announcement revealed, Enobaria is known for the particularly brutal, disturbing way in which she came to win The Hunger Games.
Meta Golding is known for her roles on CSI, Criminal Minds, House, and Cold Case and will also be seen in the upcoming independent film The Chicago 8.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
Lionsgate will release The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on November 22, 2013.
