Director Tony Scott Dies After Jumping from Bridge

Director Tony Scott died on Sunday afternoon in an apparent suicide after police sources revealed that Scott jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California.

The Los Angeles Times reports that witnesses saw 68-year old Tony Scott leap from the Vincent Thomas Bridge after climbing onto the structure.

Tony Scott’s body was removed from the waters under the Vincent Thomas Bridge by officers of the Coast Guard, LAPD, and California Highway Patrol.

It was reported by the L.A. Times that a suicide note was located inside Scott’s car.

Tony Scott, brother of director Ridley Scott, directed such hit films as Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, Enemy of the State, Crimson Tide, Man on Fire and many more.
