Actor Matthew Perry returns to series television on September 11 in Go On, a new NBC comedy in which Perry plays a sports radio host forced into therapy.

A month after NBC gave fans an early sneak peek of Go On in August, the new Matthew Perry topped comedy begins its run with the second episode this Tuesday, September 11 at 9/8c. In Go On, Matthew Perry plays angry sportscaster Ryan King who must attend grief counseling to keep his job after the death of his wife.

Ahead of the September return of Go On, The Deadbolt teamed with NBC to get the early scoop from series star Matthew Perry and executive producer Scott Silveri.

In the new interview below, Janine Brady of NBCUDirect talks with both Perry and Silveri about what fans can expect, the tone of the show, and what it’s like to balance drama and comedy with therapy.
