Cee Lo Green on The Voice

Cee Lo Green has confirmed that he’ll be taking a break from The Voice after the current season following fellow judge Christina Aguilera who will also exit the popular singing competition.

NBC’s The Voice is only in its second week of blind auditions but big changes are already ahead for the upcoming fourth season. When The Voice returns for Season 4, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will be replaced by Shakira and Usher. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are confirmed to remain on The Voice through season four.

Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, released an official statement about the changes. “We are thrilled to welcome Usher and Shakira to ‘The Voice,’” said the NBC head. Greenblatt went on to explain how the show’s back-to-back schedule could make it difficult for some of the coaches and that NBC was more than willing to accommodate Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green’s request to take a break from the show.

Fans of The Voice will be relieved to know that Aguilera and Green will return to the show after the fourth season.
