The new trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was released on Wednesday morning as promised by Jackson only days earlier.
The new 2.5 minute trailer for The Hobbit, released to celebrate Tolkien Week, opens with voiceover to introduce the story. The dwarves are in the middle of a war to reclaim their homeland. Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) chooses Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) to help as the young Hobbit sets off in search of The Ring. In his adventures, Bilbo encounters none other than Gollum (Andy Serkis).
The Hobbit hits theatres on December 14, 2012.
