Amid Friday reports that LMFAO had broken up, a representative for the Party Rock duo has come forward to say that the pair is only taking a break.

On Friday, an online repors that LMFAO had broken up surfaced after Redfoo told Australian news.com.au that the two were temporarily taking a break to pursue other creative endeavors. “I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years,” said Redfoo of he and music partner SkyBlu of LMFAO. “And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time.”

Redfoo indicated to the Australian outlet that he and SkyBlu were going on hiatus to persue solo projects.

Shortly after the break up rumors hit the web, the publicist for LMFAO confirmed to SPIN that the duo has not called it quits. Contrary to how it was “spun” by the Aussie outlet, the publicist reiterated what Redfoor had said to them, that they’d be taking some time away from each other to pursue other projects but they’d always be family.
