When The Voice continued the Blind Audition process this week, former Disney recording artist Jordan Pruitt was selected by coach Christina Aguilera.
On Monday night’s epsiode of The Voice, Jordan Pruitt, a former Disney recording artist who once toured with Cheetah Girls and Miley Cyrus, hit the stage to sing Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away,” which caught the attention of Christina Aguilera. After turning her chair to select Pruitt, Christina told Jordan that she’s been waiting for her all season.
Now that she’s on The Voice, does Jordan Pruitt feel that Christina Aguilera is the perfect coach given her background with Disney?
“Definitely,” Pruitt told The Deadbolt about fitting in with Christina. “I grew up listening to Christina. Her first CD was the first one I ever had. She was a tremendous influence growing up. I even had her Barbie doll. ‘Genie in a Bottle’ is my favorite music video.”
Although Christina was the only coach to turn for Jordan Pruitt, it all seemed to play out the way it was supposed to last night.
After getting the approval of her idol, Jordan is looking ahead to The Voice competition with a positive attitude.
“I was just floored when she turned her chair around,” Pruitt confessed. “It was huge for me. I think she’s going to be a great coach and I can learn so many good things from her.”
