Revolution returned to the NBC airwaves on Monday night with the second episode of the season called “Chained Heart” in which Charlie, Miles, Aaron, and Maggie continued their search for Danny.
This week on Revolution, the episode started one week after the blackout fifteen years earlier with Charlie’s mother, Rachel. In a flash, we’re returned to the future without electricity where Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) stops Uncle Miles (Billy Burke) from killing a bounty hunter in order to get to General Monroe. Was her Uncle Miles really capable of killing someone?
Although desperate times called for desperate measures, the bounty hunter got lucky due to the fact that Miles still has a conscience. As we learned this week in “Chained Heat,” a person’s conscience can often get them in deeper trouble. For Miles, however, his decision to let the bounty hunter live came back to haunt him in a much darker way.
The Monroe militia continued their trek back to base where Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) discovered a civilian with an illegal set of guns. The man was shot by Neville but left to die a slow and painful death. A captured Danny (Graham Rogers) watched in confusion, however, as Captain Tom gave the man the option of killing himself by poison to put himself out of misery.
Next week on Revolution, more insight into Charlie and Danny’s mother.
