When The Voice resumed the Blind Audition process on Tuesday, Charlie Rey impressed coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine with Michael Buble’s “Home”.
Although Charlie Rey found success on The Voice with his vocals, the 21-year old California smog technician, now a member of Team Blake, was also a hit with the many screaming girls in the audience.
So, how did it feel for Charlie to get that type of recognition from fans while on The Voice?
“It’s a cool feeling,” Charlie told The Deadbolt the next day after his Blind Audition. “It kind of makes you feel good about yourself. It makes you feel like you’re worth something rather than just a smog tech.”
Despite somewhat of a nervous start to his performance of Michael Buble’s “Home”, Charlie quickly found his groove to land a spot on The Voice.
Now that his first audition is over, Charlie Rey admitted that his initial walk to the stage is a bit foggy because of nerves.
“I was so nervous that I don’t even remember what it was like walking out on-stage,” Charlie added. “It was my first show of that size and of the calibre. I’ve only played on streets and in coffee shops, so you could say that I was a little nervous.”
