The Simpsons welcome New Girl star Zooey Deschanel as a guest i
n the Season 24 premiere called “Moonshine River” in which Deschanel sings a country song.
In the season premiere, The Simpsons head to New York City in search of Bart’s long-lost love, Mary Spuckler (guest voice Zooey Deschanel), who left Springfield and her backwoods family there to reinvent herself in The Big Apple.
Meanwhile, Lisa and Marge hope to experience all the city has to offer. But when they realize their budget won’t allow for a Broadway play, they settle for the free “Shakespeare In the Park,” which doesn’t go as planned.
In the newly released Fox preview of The Simpsons, which airs September 30 on Fox, Zooey Deschanel briefly explains her musical guest vocals on a country tune in front of Bart in the Big Apple.
