CBS announced that the upcoming Whitney Houston tribute concert will feature singing stars Usher, Celine Dion, and Jennifer Hudson as the first performers.
It was revealed on Thursday that Usher, Celine Dion, and Jennifer Hudson will join We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston, a one-hour special that will air on November 16.
On February 11, Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in her hotel room in Los Angeles and later pronounced dead at only 48 years of age. Houston’s passing came only one day before the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles where Jennifer Hudson paid emotional tribute to Houston with “I Will Always Love You”.
The Whitney Houston tribute will be taped on October 11 at the Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre and will also include some never-before-seen footage of Whitney Houston, footage of Whitney’s biggest performances, and tributes from her her musical peers.
