Dexter Season 7: No Escaping the Truth

Dexter returns to Showtime for Season 7 after the shocking finale last year in which Dexter’s secret was revealed to Miami Metro Homicide’s Debra Morgan.

In the Season 7 premiere of Dexter on Sunday, September 30 called “Are You …?”, Debra attempts to make peace with Dexter while struggling to cover up their ties to a murder. Now that Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) are at odds over how to handle the big reveal, it’s clear there will be consequences to Dexter’s deadly actions.

How will Deb handle the pressure despite the ethical obligations to her badge? Who else will wind up on the end of Dexter’s knife?

This is going to be a big season of Dexter, and you can already see how they are setting up the final dramas. It seems like it is going to come down to either Dexter or Deb surviving, but I think that one is going to die. I was talking to a coworker at DISH about the show, and he thought that Deb may join him in his secret life. I don’t think Deb would want to, and she is already conflicted enough with her new job. I am going to miss the premier tonight because of my son’s football game, but I have it set to record. I am going to save all of the episodes this season on my Hopper’s giant hard drive because I know they are going to be packed with foreshadowing details for the final season. The producers have said they know how they are going to end it so I expect the final seasons will depend on each other quite a bit.
