The American Idol feud between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj isn’t quite what it appears to be according to the show’s executives.
In a statement to US Weekly while at auditions in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, American Idol producers told the outlet that much of the context of the recent feud between new judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey is “inaccurate.” Early last week, Nicki Minaj was both seen and heard teeing off on Mariah in a TMZ video that was leaked online.
The American Idol execs also told US Weekly that they’ve thrown their support behind both Minaj and Carey as new judges.
“We love and support all of the judges,” said the Idol officials, “and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next American Idol.”
Late in the week, however, former American Idol judge Steven Tyler revealed that he thought the Minaj-Carey feud was fake.
What do you guys think about the alleged feud, real or fake?
