Nashville makes its long awaited series debut on ABC this Wednesday night with Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere competing for country stardom.
When Nashville premieres October 10 on ABC, television viewers will see former American Horror Story actress Connie Britton in the dramatic role of aging country star Rayna Jaymes who finds her career slipping away as newcomer Juliette Barnes, played by former Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere, attempts to become the new Queen of Country.
Already getting rave reviews from critics, Nashville gives viewers a dramatic inside look at the country music business and two very different rises to the top of the charts. For Connie Britton, Rayna Jaymes is a woman struggling to stay atop of her game amid a rapidly changing industry. For Hayden Panettiere, Juliette Barnes represents a new breed of singers out to dethrone stars like Rayna Jaymes who may or may not have had their country day in the sun.
Executive produced by R.J. Cutler (The War Room), Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise), and Dee Johnson (The Good Wife, E.R.), Nashville taps into the passion, struggles, and triumphs on two sides of the country music coin within Music City U.S.A..
Nashville also stars Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott and Robert Wisdom.
