Tom Hanks to Hit Broadway in Nora Ephron’s ‘Lucky Guy’

Actor Tom Hanks will hit the Broadway stage next year in the late Nora Ephron’s Lucky Guy, a drama about controversial 80s tabloid reporter Mike McAlary.

Throughout his career, Tom Hanks was a friend and longtime collaborators with writer Nora Ephron who passed away this year after a six year battle with leukemia. Tom Hanks starred in two of Ephron’s films, Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail.

EW reveals that rreviews of Lucky Guy will begin on March 1, 2013 at the Broadhurst Theatre before the official opening on April 1. Additional casting announcements have yet to be made.

Lucky Guy will be directed by multiple Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe.
