J.J. Abrams rebooted Star Trek in 2009 for a new generation of Trekkies. Chris Pine took over the role of Captain James T. Kirk from William Shatner while Zachary Quinto stepped into the new shoes of Vulcan Spock made famous by Leonard Nimoy.
For the sequel, Pine and Quinto will be back along with Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, and Simon Pegg. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch recently signed on to play the unnamed Star Trek sequel villain.
Star Trek: Into the Darkness will hit theatres on May 17, 2013.
