Hugh Jackman is reportedly in talks to play Wolverine in director Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to last year’s X-Men: First Class.
The latest X-Men news surrounding Hugh Jackman comes via Hollywood Reporter only a day after Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen signed on to play Professor Xavier and Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
It was also confirmed this week that Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicolas Hoult will be back for the sequel as well.
Should Hugh Jackman sign on to X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer, director of X-Men and X2: X-Men United, will oversee Wolverine’s integration back into the X-Men fold after X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 and his minor but memorable appearance in First Class.
However, with Hugh Jackman starring in The Wolverine next year, it will be interesting to see how Wolverine fits into the prequel timelines of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18, 2014.
How do you think Wolverine should fit into the timelines of Days of Future Past?
