CeeLo Green has signed a new co-management deal with The Voice Season 2 runner-up Juliet Simms ahead of the singer’s upcoming new single and album.
On Thursday it was confirmed that CeeLo Green and his management team at Primary Wave Music will co-manage former “Team CeeLo” artist Juliet Simms. Since her second place finish last season on The Voice, Simms has been busy writing and recording new music and touring the world after signing with Republic Records to release her new single, “Wild Child,” available on iTunes Decemeber 11.
“Juliet has that electricity in her voice, originality, likability and real brand-ability,” CeeLo Green recently explained. “As I told her from the beginning, I’m dedicated to building her career and with the help of Primary Wave’s resources, I’m confident that she’ll be the girl to watch in 2013.”
The new management deal solidifies CeeLo’s true belief in the artists he coaches on The Voice. In the official press release, it was revealed that CeeLo specifically recognizes Juliet’s rock star ability to potentially become The Voice’s big breakout star.
As a favorite in Season 2 of The Voice, Juliet’s unapologetic growl, edgy-style and powerful pipes left a lasting impression on America, especially during her renditions of James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and The Police’s “Roxanne,” both of which peaked at #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart.
