Adam Lambert hosts VH1 Divas on Sunday, December 16
Adam Lambert will host VH1 Divas live on Sunday night in a star-studded affair that will pay tribute to late divas Whitney Houston and Donna Summer.
Sunday night’s VH1 Divas will see Adam Lambert play host to fellow American Idol stars Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks who will perform along with Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson, Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Pitbull and Bootsy Collins.
“I’m so thrilled to be hosting VH1 Divas this year,” said Adam Lambert before the event. “I have a feeling it’s going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And live! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!”
VH1 Divas will honor both Whitney Houston and Donna Summer who died in 2012 and were former performers on the series, Houston back in 1998 and Summer in 2000.
Known for his flamboyant fashion, Adam Lambert admitted to THR that he would likely change outfits “a zillion times.” Along with his hosting duties, Adam Lambert will participate in the musical tribute to Donna Summer.
Adam Lambert also filmed a sketch for VH1 Divas that features Real Housewives of Atlanta star Ne Ne Leakes, who takes on the comedic role as a coach of the former American Idol runner-up.
VH1 Divas airs Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
