Early Thursday morning, actress Emma Stone and Oscar host Seth MacFarlane announced the nominations for the 85th Academy Awards fron Hollywood in a playful ceremony in front of press. Steven Spielberg’s historical epic Lincoln led the 2013 pack with 12 nominations ahead of other leading Oscar contenders Silver Linings Playbook and Life of Pi.
In the Best Picture category, Lincoln heads a list of nominees that also includes Les Miserables, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Life of Pi, Amour, Silver Linings Playbook, Django Unchained and Beasts of the Southern Wild, a surprise to many movie fans and critics.
