Jennifer Lawrence hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend in New York City where the Silver Linings Playbook actress poked fun at her fellow Oscar nominees.
Although Jennifer Lawrence surprised everyone at the recent Golden Globes when she announced that she had beaten Meryl Streep in the Best Actress category, Lawrence poked fun at her fellow Oscar nominees on SNL this weekend.
After clarifying that her “I beat Meryl” statement was actually dialogue from The First Wives club, and that she’d never talk trash about her colleagues, Lawrence had some fun to start SNL.
“I would never trash-talk any of my fellow nominees at the Golden Globes,” said Lawrence in her opening SNL monologue, “but the Oscars are another story.”
To kick off SNL, Jennifer Lawrence joked about her new Best Actress Oscar competitors, including Jessica Chastain who is nominated for Zero Dark Thirty.
“Jessica Chastain,” Lawrence asked the audience. “More like Jessica ain’t winning an Oscar on my watch.”

As for the other Best Actress Oscar contenders, Lawrence joked about Quvenzhane Wallis, Naomi Watts and Emmanuelle Riva, who The Hunger Games star comically took aim at with, “Yeah, I think I can take you.”
Also on SNL, Lawrence also poked fun at her role as Katniss Everdeen in a press conference sketch for The Hunger Games.
