
Shooting is officially underway on the ABC S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series
The upcoming Marvel produced S.H.I.E.L.D. television on ABC has officially started filming after the news was confirmed on both Facebook and Twitter.
Although a series of photos surfaced from the set of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Tuesday, a day later the official Facebook page confirmed that shooting has indeed begun.
“Shooting is officially underway,” was the Wednesday status of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Facebook.
On Twitter at @ABC_SHIELD, the same production sentiment was shared with followers, including news that Joe Quesada, Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, was roaming the S.H.I.E.L.D. set with Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director at Marvel Digital (aka @AgentM).
While on set, Ryan Penagos shared is own thoughts as he tweeted the latest happenings.
“Watching writers/producers @MoTancharoen, @jedwhedon & Joss Whedon react to #SHIELD as it’s being filmed is pretty rad,” said Penagos.
Along with the digital gang at Marvel, actor Clark Gregg, who plays agent Phil Coulson in the S.H.I.E.L.D. series, tweeted up a storm.
Gregg will reprise the role of Coulson in the S.H.I.E.L.D. series with new cast mates Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons, and Chloe Bennet as Skye.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is expected to debut on ABC in the Fall of 2013.
