AMC released new Mad Men photos ahead of the Season 6 premiere on April 7 that show Jon Hamm as Don Draper mingling in formal wear with cast mates.
Following the announcement that Mad Mad Season 6 will premiere on April 7, AMC released a series of new photos that show the cast members attending a formal unknown event.
In the new Mad Men photos Jon Hamm sits in the role of Don Draper as Megan Draper (Jessica Pare) whispers something into his ear while Betty (January Jones) and daughter Sally (Kiernan Shipka) stare at something off in the distance.
The new Mad Men photos also show a preoccupied Roger Sterling (John Slattery ) standing with Don, new partner Joan (Christina Hendricks) and Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser) while Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce mates Ken Cosgrove (Aaron Staton) and Harry Crane (Rich Sommer) laugh it up with Roger, Joan, and Bert Cooper (Robert Morse).
Most interesting is the shot of actress Elisabeth Moss in the role of Peggy Olson who quit the firm in Season 5.
So, what could the new photos mean for the upcoming season?

Betty Draper Francis
Well, for one, Betty’s lost a lot of weight since we last saw her depressed and feeling sorry for her life. Although the shot of Betty could mean that we’re now months or even a year ahead of Season 5, we don’t really know the time frame of the photos within the story. For all we know, what we see in the photos could simply be a dream or a figment of one character’s imagination.
Whatever’s going on in the distance has obviously taken Betty’s focus away from Megan. And since we don’t see Henry, it looks like Betty may be a strong, single woman of the late Sixties this season.
Sally Draper
Aside from Sally getting older, there’s not much to go on other than she’s an equal distance from her parents but closer to Megan. Is she hiding something behind her back? Who knows but that guy behind her looks an awful lot like President Obama.
Megan Draper
Although Don doesn’t look so good in one of the photos, Megan appears to be completely at ease in her role as the second Mrs. Draper. Has she given up acting for good? Will she become the old Betty Draper?

Roger Sterling
Roger’s getting hammered and looking for Megan’s mom. Nothing new there.
Pete Campbell
Nice sideburns! Where’s Trudy? Did she finally get wise?
Ken Cosgrove and Harry Crane
Well, Ken and Bert aren’t paying attention to Harry while Joan and Roger feign interest. If anything, Ken and Harry look more or less the same. Ken’s always been somewhat distant with the firm while Harry’s always trying to fit in.
Bert Cooper
He’s in his own world… and loving it as usual.

Joan Holloway
The new Season 6 photos of Joan may be the most revealing of all. The one common theme with Joan is Roger. In one she’s looking at Roger and the other standing beside him. We know that Joan and Roger have a baby. Will they become even closer this season? Will Red be the one who gets Roger to finally end his wild ways?
Don Draper
Obviously something’s not right with Don in the family photo. There’s a good chance it has something to do with whatever Betty and Sally are looking at in the distance. Did one of his many women just walk into the room, or has his real past come back to haunt him again?
In the photo with Roger, Pete and Joan, someone’s got a hold of Don’s arm. Is it Sally since she’s so small? Is it Megan, or another woman? Is it the hand that pulls Don into the troublesome look in the family photo?
Will karma finally be a bitch for Don this season?

Peggy Olson
One thing’s perfectly clear from the photo of Peggy, she doesn’t want to be there. She’s obviously caught between two men.
Is it Don on the right and Abe of the left? Instead of Abe, is it her new boss? Is she back with the firm or simply playing the role for some unknown agenda?
What possibilities can you see in the new Mad Men photos for Season 6?
