NBC canceled The Playboy Club on Tuesday after the network aired only three episodes of the new 60s set drama that starred Amber Heard and Eddie Cibrian. The move to cancel The Playboy Club was a combination of low ratings that may have been aided by complaints from the Parents Television Council.
According to Entertainment Weekly, The Playboy Club is the first new show of the Fall season to be canceled after the series suffered from low ratings and only attracted 3.4 million viewers last night. The Monday night time slot of The Playboy Club will be filled with episodes of the new police drama Prime Suspect, which also suffers from low ratings.
There is no plan to air the remaining episodes of The Playboy Club in a different time slot.
