According to Entertainment Weekly, Three Musketeers actress Milla Jovovich called out Summit Entertainment for dropping the cinematic sword on the marketing of the film, which opened in North America over the weekend to dismal sales.
On Friday, the day when The Three Musketeers hits theaters, Milla Jovovich tweeted a loaded question aimed at Summit Entertainment. “[Is] ‘Summit’ promoting it as a family adventure movie? Or are they resting on their laurels from ‘Twilight’ [and] making no effort? Let me know!”
Shortly after her first tweet, Milla Jovovich hit Twitter again to accuse Summit of ignoring The Three Musketeers. “I think ‘Summit’ [has] swept ’3 Musketeers’, a [great] family adventure film, under the rug in the U.S. Shame on them. SHAME ON YOU ‘SUMMIT’,” tweeted Jovovich, who took the lack of marketing personal since she stars in the film directed by husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
Does Milla Jovovich have a point since The Three Musketeers only made $8.8 million in over 3000 theaters?
