Black Sabbath Announces New Album and World Tour

Members of Black Sabbath held a press conference on Friday at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles to announce the first Sabbath album since 1978 with the original line-up and a new World Tour for 2012.

According to Billboard, original Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward are reuniting for a new studio album, their first since 1978’s “Never Say Die”, which will be followed by a World Tour.

Black Sabbath will also headline Download Festival in Donington Park, England between June 8-10, 2012.

Mega producer Rick Rubin will produce the new Black Sabbath album for an expected fall 2012 release on Vertigo/Universal.
