The Immortals Dominate Friday Box Office

The ImmortalsThe Immortals took the top spot at the Friday box office after the mythological epic earned $15 million to beat the Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill.

According to Variety, The Immortals, starring Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke, battled its way to the top of the Friday box office with $15 million in ticket sales. The Friday sales of The Immortals were well above the industry predicted $20 million for the entire weekend. As Variety elaborates, box office analysts adjusted their predictions to reflect a new weekend take of $30 million for The Immortals.

Behind The Immortals in second place at the box office was the Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill at $9.9 million, Puss in Boots at $9 million, and Tower Heist in fourth at at $4.9 million.
