Elton John recently revealed that wants Justin Timberlake to play the young version of himself in an upcoming biopic about his life and career.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Elton John revealed that after seeing Justin Timberlake play him in the past, Timberlake is at the top of his list. “I’ve got a wish list of people,” said the 64-year old singer. “No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of “Rocket Man” and was superb.”
Interestingly, Elton John also revealed that the biopic will be “a surreal look” at his life with a similar style as Moulin Rouge that starts with John going into rehab in the 1990s and ends when he’s released. John also revealed that although a director has been found, Moulin Rouge helmer Baz Luhrmann was too busy to take on the project.
