The Biggest Loser Exit: Lauren Lee, “I was very surprised”

7 years ago by Diana Daley

Lauren Lee saw her time on The Biggest Loser come to an end this week after a close but surprise elimination ceremony at the ranch.

Although Lauren looked like a front-runner this week on The Biggest Loser, the other ranchers obviously saw Lauren as a threat and someone who could continue the journey at home. As the votes were cast, a tearful Lauren couldn’t believe her time on The Biggest Loser came to an end.

“I was very surprised,” Lauren admitted to The Deadbolt. “We do get to talk before elimination and I was still shocked.” At the same time, Lauren also came to terms with the reality of The Biggest Loser as a competition. “It’s a game,” added Lee, “That’s what we signed up for. That’s just how we vote.”

Prior to Lauren’s exit from the ranch, fans got their own surprised when Black Team member Joe Messina packed up his things and decided to leave The Biggest Loser. “Joe struggled with missing his family so much,” Lauren explained to The Deadbolt. “He has two little ones and an older child as well. You could tell that he was missing them the last week. He dicided to go home, but that’s just what he needed to do.”

So, despite her own early departure following Joe’s decision to leave, how does Lauren look at her time on The Biggest Loser? For Lee, it’s a special time she’ll never forget.

“The whole experience is a dream to me still,” Lauren continued. “I never would have thought that I’d be picked out of hundreds of thousands of people to be put on The Biggest Loser. It’s amazing and it’s an amazing journey. Learning everything and meeting everybody, it’s just a whirlwind. I treasure every single moment of it.”
