The first dancer was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night after a few mishaps on Monday and key injuries to two of the DWTS competitors.
When Dancing with the Stars resumed on Tuesday, Gavin DeGraw and partner Karina Smirnoff were in the bottom two with Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani. As for Roshon Fegan and Chelsia Hightower, the new dance pair learned that they were safe despite booking a spot in the bottom three.
After a miscue on Monday night’s performance episode of Dancing with the Stars, tennis legend Martina Navratilova knew she messed up. Almost resigned to her fate, Navratilova was gracious and grateful as she gave Dovolani all the credit for his attempts to turn her into a dancer despite a key setback in the form of an old toe injury. Even Gavin DeGraw admitted to Martina that it was an honor just to meet her through the show.
As a result of low scores in the first two weeks of Dancing with the Stars, Martina Navratilova became the first dancer ousted from competition.
However, it was no surprise that Katherine Jenkins, an injured Maria Menounos, and Sherri Shepherd were all safe. Despite Sherri’s decision to pull out of a difficult move on Monday night, the judges and voters forgave her for the slight mishap. But with such an infectious smile, who wouldn’t want Shepherd to stay?
Although Martina was hampered by her toe, Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke revealed that Maria Menounos’s rib injury from Monday night was far more serious than originally thought since she actually danced with two broken ribs!
As it turned out, Jaleel White, Donald Driver, William Levy, Melissa Gilbert, Gladys Knight, and Jack Wagner were all safe as well despite a shaky routine from Wagner on Monday.
Were you sad to see Martina Navratilova leave Dancing with the Stars? Who do you think will get the boot next on DWTS?
