Beyonce Performs “I Was Here” Live at United Nations

BeyonceBeyonce performed her song “I Was Here” at the United Nations General Assembly on Friday night in support of World Humanitarian Day.

On Friday night in New York City, Beyonce took to the stage at the United Nations to sing “I Was Here” to give inspiration through song for World Humanitarian Day, which was established to honor humanitarian personnel who lost their lives while actively working for causes around the globe.

Beyonce has pledged her support to generate one million volunteers for the cause and also prompt people to become active through community service.

As The Huffington Post reports, Beyonce’s United Nations performance will be featured in the official video for “I Was Here” and will be released on August 19, the date of World Humanitarian Day.
