New Lincoln Trailer Shows Fight to Abolish Slavery

The second trailer for Lincoln was released On Wednesday after the Presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

In the new Lincoln trailer, tension builds as President Abraham Lincoln, played by Daniel Day Lewis, tries to maintain order the United States in the aftermath of the Civil War and his quest to abolish slavery. Lincoln focuses on the last four months of Abraham Lincoln’s life before he was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, Lincoln hits theatres on November 16 and stars Daniel Day Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Strathairn, James Spader, and many more, including Hal Holbrook, Jared Harris of Mad Men fame, Tim Blake Nelson and Jackie Earle Haley.
