Dancing With The Stars All-Stars returned on Tuesday night for the latest elimination results round in which another celebrity couple was sent home.
Following Monday night’s performance episode with guest judge Paula Abdul, Kirstie Alley and Bristol Palin found themselves in the bottom two and up for elimination. Although Bristol scored higher the night before with 32 points to Kirstie’s 30, the voters chose to go against the scoreboard numbers.
As Dancing with the Stars fate would have it on Tuesday in Week 4, it was the end of the road for Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas.
After being eliminated, Bristol tried to stay positive. “We made it to Week 4 and I’m happy with that,” said Palin, “and I had an awesome time, and an awesome partner and these are just great people and I wish everyone the best of luck.”
On Monday night, fans saw some of the best performances to date on Dancing With The Stars All-Stars. Both Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini earned three 10s from the judges for a first place tie atop the leaderboard.
Fans of DWTS got a surprise highlight when former Season 9 winner Donny Osmond took the stage to sing a beautiful duet with the great Susan Boyle on “This is the Moment,” the first song from Boyle’s fourth album.
In another surprise, top-scorers Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini picked teams and the themes for next week’s Team Freestyle Dance.
Selecting Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”, Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough chose Sabrina Bryan and Louis van Amstel, Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, and Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff for their team.
On the other side, Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd picked Psy’s “Gangnam Style” for their group before adding Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy, Kirstie and Maks, and Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke for their team.
This will be the ultimate of dance-off! Who else is excited?
