Chart topper Adele and partner Simon Konecki welcomed their first child, a new baby boy, after the British singer gave birth to the child on Friday night.
The baby boy is the first child for Adele who’s now a new mother after her rise to musical stardom. As People reports, Adele and her family are “over the moon” with joy about the new arrival.
Back in June, Adele confirmed the pregnancy on her blog. “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” Adele wrote. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”
The couple began dating in the summer of 2011 and officially moved in together earlier this year.
Adele’s most recent chart success, the theme song for the new James Bond film Skyfall, is currently in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
It’s another hit single from Adele who has already sold over 25 million albums worldwide and was named Artist of the Year in 2011 by Billboard.
With a new baby boy, Adele has fresh inspiration for songs as a mother, which obviously means more than all of her musical accomplishments.
