6 years ago by Reg Seeton

Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam plays Brad Pitt from the new ad for Chanel No.5

Saturday Night Live took aim at the new Brad Pitt ad for Chanel No. 5 this weekend when Taran Killam dressed up as Pitt for a series of SNL parodies.

Following the release of the Chanel’s new black and white ad for Chanel No. 5 featuring Brad Pitt, Saturday Night Live was all about poking fun at the recently released video.

In the ad for Chanel No. 5, Brad Pitt stands in front of a warm background and talks about the world turning, life going on, plans disappearing, and how dreams take over in life.

In the newly released SNL clips, however, Taran Killam talks about selling dog condoms and a whole lot more.

For the SNL parody, NBC released all four videos from this weekend’s show, which featured Bruno Mars.

Since the release of Pitt’s ad for Chanel, fans and critics have called the video everything from confusing and nonsensical to strange and bizarre.

Taran Killam is really playing a big part in the cast this season, and this is just another great impersonation to add to the list. I think he nailed Pitt’s attitude in the commercial, and the writing was hilarious. I was talking to a coworker at DISH who didn’t know about the Chanel commercial, but they still thought it was funny. Killam has a way of selling his impersonations that just makes you laugh whether you get it or not. He was also great in the debate cold opener as Mitt’s son Tag (what names), which was so good that I saved it on my Hoppper’s giant hard drive. I love having all of my favorite sketches saved so I can watch them anytime. I think that this season of SNL is going amazingly well and bits like this prove that it is not just because the political race is giving them material
