Community will return to the NBC schedule on February 7 after the network made the official announcement on Tuesday regarding the 2013 programming.
On Tuesday, NBC announced that the critically hailed comedy Community will return to the Thursday night line-up on February 7 (8-8:30 p.m. ET) for its fourth season. The Community news comes as NBC revealed the official changes to its 2013 schedule, which also sees the Amy Poehler comedy Parks and Recreation moves up one hour on the Thursday schedule to 8:30-9 p.m. on January 17.
The season four premiere of Community was originally intended for October 19, 2012 but was delayed until February 7, 2013 following the departure of creator Dan Harmon. The move left many fans to wonder if Community would ever return.
In other Thursday night NBC news, 1600 Penn, the new comedy from Modern Family director Jason Winer, makes its series debut on January 10 at 9:30/10c. 1600 Penn stars Bill Pullman, Jenna Elfman, and Josh Gad as a typical American family who just happen to live in the White House.
The third season finale of Community aired May 17 with the episode “Introduction to Finality”, the last of creator and executive producer Dan Harmon.
