When The Voice returned this week for the Playoff Round, Team Adam singer Amanda Brown brought down the house with Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”
The Voice arguably saved the best for last on Monday night when Amanda Brown took the stage to sing the Aerosmith classic “Dream On’ to close out the first Playoff Round between Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton.
Although Amanda Brown almost went home a few weeks earlier when the former Team Cee Lo singer lost to Trevin Hunte in the Battle Round, Brown raised her game this week to become a clear front-runner in the competition.
During a Playoff week in which the singers could choose their own songs, Amanda Brown went with a rock and roll classic. Despite how “Dream On” starts slow and builds in momentum, Amanda nailed the screeching Steven Tyler high note in the latter half of the song to leave The Voice coaches nearly speechless.
Less than a month ago, Amanda Brown went head-to-head against Trevin Hunte in a first round battle on “Vision of Love.”
Following that particular battle, Amanda gave The Deadbolt insight into how she prepares to take The Voice stage. “I just wanted to remain as positive as possible,” said Brown weeks earlier, “so that we could give this awesome, amazing performance.”
On Monday night, Amanda gave another amazing performance that made everyone stand up and take notice, including former coach Cee Lo Green.
When Amanda finished “Dream On,” Adam struggled to find words but showered a ton of praise on his singer. “I think if it wasn’t already evident,” admitted Levine, “this by far was the actual best performance of the night.”
I’d say it was one of the best performances ever on The Voice.
What did you guys think of Amanda Brown’s version of “Dream On” this week on The Voice?
