The seventh TV spot for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was released by MGM and New Line Cinema this week ahead of the film’s release on December 14.
In the latest TV spot for The Hobbit, Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellan) describes the treacherous nature of Bilbo’s upcoming adventure. “The task I have in mind will require a great deal of stealth and no small amount of courage,” says Gandalf about the unexpected journey.
Viewers also get a quick peek at Bilbo’s sword clash against Golem and a closer look at dwarf leader, Thorin Oakenshield.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey takes Bilbo on an unexpected and incredible journey as he tries to reclaim the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the dragon Smaug.
Fiollowing the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on December 14, the second film called The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will hit theaters a year later on December 13, 2013. The third film in The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, will be released on July 18, 2014.
Interestingly, a new nine minute preview of Star Trek Into Darkness will appear in select theaters in front of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
“The adventure follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield.
